We are your locally-based non-profit link to lung health through a series of programs and services, including:

Information & Referral Services - to help you learn how to work towards healthier lungs in your personal life. Better Breathers Clubs (BBC Chapters) - for adults to manage lung disease.

Support for Research - the Association makes grants to local and national scientists and students who are investigating the cause and cure of lung diseases.

Anti-Tobacco - Advocacy, community organization, coordinating youth, and networking with health professionals to fight Big Tobacco.

Asthma Education for kids, families, and practitioners, including Open Airways for Schools, SCAMP Camp, and the Childhood Asthma Initiative.

Promoting Clean Air - both indoor and outdoor air needs cleaning from pollutants and allergens which are dangerous for people with lung disease and a challenge for healthy lungs too. Kids for Clean Air, Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools, and Clean Air Month programs are part of this effort.

Fighting TB and Infectious Lung Disease - success in making Tuberculosis a rare disease is part of the Association's history of community service, but the work never stops.

Individuals who have included the American Lung Association in their estate plans are automatically enrolled in the Association's Heritage Society, a group honored with an annual luncheon and VIP communications throughout the year. The Association offers a free financial planning visit to those who would like to make an estate gift.
