Your gift will be acknowledged immediately. We will send a card in your name to the family of the deceased or to the person honored. The amount of your gift is not disclosed. The name of the person in whose honor the gift has been made will be published on our Web site at the Online Memorial Wall.

Planned Giving
Planned giving is giving to charity that is coordinated with financial and estate planning to serve both philanthropic and personal needs. Planned giving incorporates many different kinds of financial and tax benefits. Planned gifts are bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, pooled income fund and others. American Lung Association of San Diego & Imperial Counties provides estate planning services and provides information for estate planning clients with an interest in planned giving.
Educational Expenses
You can provide educational expenses through a charitable remainder trust which could help minimize capital gains tax on appreciated assets, provide a current charitable tax deduction and reduce your taxable estate.
Eldercare
Your gift can provide guaranteed income to an elderly parent or relative. This can be a great way to secure income for a parent, earn a charitable tax deduction and provide a significant gift—perhaps in honor of the parent.
Planning for Retirement

Designations through workplace contributions provide ongoing and reliable support to our programs in your community.
